About the role
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for client equity structures, including complex cap tables, different security types (e.g., common stock, preferred stock, SAFEs, convertible notes, options), and waterfall calculations during the shutdown process
- Assist with the windup and dissolution phase of client engagements — vendor notifications, document collection, and customer support
- Provide clear, accurate explanations of equity treatment and payout outcomes to clients
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Legal, Ops, Product) to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of client issues
- Maintain organized and accurate records of dissolution activities, equity analyses, and client communications
- Support clients in gathering necessary documentation and validating shareholder, investment, and financing instrument data
- Capture, document, and optimize processes to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction
- Utilize Slack, Google Suite, Notion, and other remote tools for communication and documentation
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows around equity and cap table complexity
- Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all client interactions
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in equity operations, cap table management, venture finance, or legal/financial analysis
- Customer-facing experience (onboarding, client success, or operations)
- Comfort reading and interpreting legal and financial documents (charters, SAFEs, convertible notes, option plans)
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy handling sensitive legal and financial data
- Excellent communication skills; able to simplify complex ownership and payout concepts for clients
- High digital literacy; comfortable using SaaS platforms and learning new tools quickly
- Experience with cap table management tools like Carta or Pulley
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment
- Proactive, adaptable mindset; willing to pitch in on specialized equity work and general operations
