About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for planning and implementing locally relevant sales & distribution strategy to drive growth and market share
- Develops and drives credibility and long-term relationships with customers and the A&D community in the region to build a strong pipeline and fulfill sales objectives
- Partners with agents, reps, and dealers to make joint calls with specifiers
- Achieves revenue, margins, and sales productivity efficiencies targets within the assigned geographical area
- Maximize sales opportunities by creating demand through Modular named specifications
- Train agents, reps, and dealers on MLI brand, products, and sales tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years commercial sales across a multi-state territory
- Bachelor's Degree or years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Proven track record in key account management and consultative selling principles in a fast-paced technology or architectural industry
- Physically located within greater NYC/NJ/Long Island vicinity
- Technical understanding of lighting requirements, LEDs, and lighting controls
- Proven track record in customer relationship building with designers, reps, EDs and builders
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.
