About the role
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure supporting Signifyd’s decision platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-based services
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment
- Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration, monitoring, and scaling
- Drive evolution of services to support cloud-native managed services and Kubernetes improvements
- Enhance cloud infrastructure security: access controls, encryption, vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate on CI/CD (TeamCity) pipelines and build platform (Java, Gradle Enterprise) to automate deployments
- Define and maintain cloud engineering best practices and standards
- Optimize applications for cloud deployment with software engineers for performance and scalability
- Evaluate emerging cloud and DevOps technologies and recommend integrations
- Participate in capacity planning and resource optimization for cost-effective cloud usage
- Troubleshoot complex engineering issues, provide root cause analysis, and propose solutions
- Create and maintain documentation related to cloud infrastructure, engineering practices, and security configurations
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members
Requirements
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Extensive expertise in Kubernetes (self-managed and cloud-managed flavors, architectures, operations)
- Experience with databases (at least one of MySQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch) preferred
- Deep knowledge of cloud best practices: security, cost optimization, operational excellence, reliability, performance efficiency
- In-depth knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and security best practices
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent experience in Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) best practices (Terraform)
- Experience in software development with a high-level language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java)
- Understanding of Cloud Observability, Monitoring, and Tracing tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Jaeger, ELK)
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members
