About the role

  • Own UX as a Quality Attribute
  • Establish UX Quality & Consumer Experience Assurance as a formal quality discipline within the Consumer Business
  • Provide independent go / no-go input at development lifecycle gates based on UX readiness and risk
  • Protect the consumer experience and brand by ensuring UX quality is proven, not assumed
  • Define the UX assurance framework, built on rigorous UX validation
  • Set clear standards and methodologies for UX requirement validation, usability testing, experience evaluation, and benchmarking
  • Ensure UX decisions are evidence-based, traceable, and consistent across portfolios
  • Embed UX Quality & Assurance in pre-development and product development lifecycles
  • Introduce and govern the Project UX Charter, defining UX scope, methods, timing, and deliverables per project
  • Ensure UX is addressed early and continuously — not as a late-stage check
  • Ensures learnings on UX from existing portfolio performance and product phase out are applied in new innovations and product (pre-)development
  • Lead high-quality UX research across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods
  • Establish competitive and best-in-class UX benchmarks to set ambition and quality thresholds
  • Set up continuous in-market feedback loops and ensure learnings drive improvement
  • As group leader, builds and leads a hands-on UX Quality & Assurance capability
  • Acts as a change agent, building bridges and driving UX mindset across Quality, Product Management, Engineering, Design, Market Intelligence and global research and development sites
  • Challenge internal assumptions and drive a user-centric, quality-driven mindset through clear storytelling and leadership.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of influencing at senior leadership level
  • Extensive experience in UX research, UX validation, or experience quality in consumer product environments
  • Proven track record in building or scaling new capabilities, not just operating mature, fully formalized systems
  • Strong experience embedding UX structurally into product development lifecycles
  • Experience operating with authority in quality, governance, or risk-based decision contexts
  • Deep expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed UX research methods
  • Ability to translate insights into clear UX requirements, risks, and quality thresholds
  • Strong judgment and confidence to make and stand by difficult UX quality decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across disciplines
  • Clear, compelling communicator who can turn insights into action.
