About the role
- Support a US Army program as a Data Engineer for Significance, a federal consulting firm
- Perform comparative analytics (parametric and non-parametric)
- Conduct campaign analysis and recommend courses of action
- Develop decision support tools and dashboards
- Perform data wrangling and management
- Understand software and AI/ML capabilities and limitations
- Convert data/information to actionable knowledge
- Work on a hybrid basis with onsite support required in the Pentagon/Arlington VA area
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Programming experience in R or Python with emphasis on data analysis frameworks (Pandas, NumPy, Tidyverse)
- Programming experience in data visualization frameworks (Shiny, Streamlit, Dash, Plotly, ggplot2) and SQL databases (Postgres, Oracle)
- Familiarity coding in Python, R, VS Code, Microsoft Suite (Power BI, Power Apps, VBA), SQL
- Data analytic skills (Simulations, Basic descriptive statistics, Visualizations)
- Personal skills: Ability to brief senior leaders; Ability to learn on the job and seek out opportunities to broaden themselves and the unit
