About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and own the end-to-end user experience and design language for early-stage products
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile applications
Develop user research strategies to understand customer pain points and optimize design decisions
Collaborate with founders, engineers, and product teams to align design with business objectives
Build and maintain design systems and reusable UI components for scalability
Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and iterative improvements based on data and user feedback
Advocate for design best practices, accessibility, and human-centered design principles
Join SignalFire’s Talent Network so the profile can be shared with portfolio companies
Potentially engage directly with SignalFire talent partners or portfolio-company leaders when there is a match

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX, or visual design for web and mobile applications
Strong proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools such as Framer and InVision
Experience building and scaling design systems from scratch
Knowledge of user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design decision-making
Understanding of interaction design, motion design, and responsive UI principles
Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Experience working with early-stage startups or lean product teams is a plus
