About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services
  • Develop APIs, microservices, and cloud architectures to power modern products
  • Optimize databases, caching layers, and distributed computing environments
  • Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate systems and enhance user experiences (if applicable)
  • Work with founders and product teams to align engineering strategy with business needs
  • Ensure security, performance, and reliability of core applications
  • Establish best practices for software development, DevOps, and CI/CD workflows

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or full stack software engineering
  • Proficiency in backend frameworks (Node.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, FastAPI, Spring Boot)
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus for full stack roles
  • Strong experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis)
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Java, or Ruby
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing, distributed systems, and large-scale architectures
  • Experience in early-stage startups or lean teams is a plus
