About the role
- Perform design of LV, HV, EHV electrical power systems emphasizing SCADA and automation device design
- Lead a team of engineers and drafters for substation SCADA projects
- Provide engineering support to project management, procurement, and construction
- Create equipment specifications and support procurement of equipment
- Write programs, configurations, and settings for components of the project data system
- Complete on-site testing and check-out of component programming and data cabling
- Coordinate design with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Assure that all engineering documents and records are properly maintained
- Guidance of designers/drafters and detailed review/approval of electrical drawings
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Power Engineering
- 5+ Years’ Experience in Design of Transmission Level Substations (34.5 – 500 kV)
- Minimum of 3 years of application experience with SEL, GE, etc. relays.
- Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE and other applicable codes and standards
- Familiarity with, and review of, substation physical drawings and calculations
- Highly motivated and able to execute tasks from a lead role.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Skilled in engineering theories and principles.
