About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • develop and execute the organization's non-dues revenue strategy
  • lead business development, Marketplace operations, sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives
  • define the organization's revenue architecture, from lead qualification and sales processes to forecasting and pipeline management
  • guide the cultivation, negotiation, and stewardship of sponsorships and strategic partnerships
  • provide strategic financial oversight for a $3.5 million+ non-dues revenue portfolio
  • align revenue strategies with organizational priorities
  • expand strategic relationships and business opportunities
  • provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to assigned Marketplace staff
  • report revenue forecasts and business performance updates to executive leadership or the Board of Directors.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • bachelor's degree in business, marketing, nonprofit management, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in business development, e-commerce, or revenue generation
  • hands-on experience managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and overseeing P&L performance
  • strong analytical, negotiation, and contract management skills
  • skilled at managing e-commerce platforms and proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • proven ability to build, negotiate, and steward strategic institutional partnerships across corporate, academic, foundation, and industry sectors
  • comfortable managing B2B sales channels and funnels, ideally within a global membership organization, association, or subscription-based environment
  • confident presenting revenue forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and, as appropriate, the Board of Directors.
