About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the full onboarding process, ensuring a positive experience for new hires, from orientation sessions to integration into the team.
  • Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews, feedback analysis, and final clearance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to employee records in HR systems, maintaining data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed HR reports and documentation for management review.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Support and implement performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal-setting, and development plans.
  • Assist in resolving employee conflicts and grievances, maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave management, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
  • Prepare and distribute important HR communications, such as policy updates and company announcements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems, ensuring greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR administrative or generalist role.
  • Proficient in Indigo (Shireburn) payroll system, with experience supporting payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee data.
  • Strong knowledge of Maltese employment law, HR compliance requirements, and administrative best practices.
  • Fluency in both English and Maltese is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS systems.
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive HR matters.
