Auction Support Specialist
Sigma Equipment Co.Assist SIGMA Auction team with listing, tagging equipment and clerking auctions in Indiana. Responsible for customer support, creating auction materials and traveling to catalog lots.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with listing and tagging equipment, clerking the actual auction whether in person or online
- Catalog equipment for sale in all auctions by creating detailed write-ups, descriptions, and photos
- Dedicated to learning and understanding the auction industry, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with internal departments and equipment owners to gather information and documentation
- Perform lot building, setting auction parameters, and managing the bidding processes through auction software
- Provide professional customer service and support to bidders, as needed
- Describe and photograph the auction listings in a way that encourages bidding and to best represent the equipment
- Responsible for meeting operational deadlines for finalizing auction listings and catalogs
- Assists in the preparation of and timing for marketing materials for upcoming auctions
- Willing and able to travel for SIGMA Auction to catalog lots and coordinate with rigging companies
- Meet the operational standards of the SIGMA Auction Showroom
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or a related field strongly preferred; at a minimum must possess a high school diploma
- Must be experienced researching items on the internet.
- Experience with optimizing images for web use with tools such as Corel or Photoshop is a plus
- Proficient computer skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and highly motivated
- Ability to read equipment manufacturer's operation manuals, maintenance manuals and machine schematic drawings.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
