Oversee data engineering, reporting, development and delivery of hosted and cloud-based solutions which are secure, performant and scalable.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to prepare and deliver complex data sets that meet business needs.
Participate in Information Technology strategic, budgeting and project planning functions.
Defines standards, procedures, and methodologies to ensure the security, integrity, resiliency, scalability and performance of enterprise data resources.
Lead DE support, maintenance and change management activities including service levels, efficacy reviews and task/resource scheduling.
Evaluate and adopt third party tools, add-ons, and interfaces that strengthen our product suite or operational efficiency.
Stay abreast of evolving technology, standards and engineering practices that embrace security, quality and automation.
Participate in proactive assessments, lifecycle and capacity management/planning, business continuity and disaster recovery to maintain service levels.
Participate in maintaining system standards, information security, Incident Response and Disaster Recovery plans that adhere to regulatory requirements working within industry standards and the enterprise security posture.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in Database/Data Architect role or equivalent experience.
5 years managing and mentoring data engineering teams or similar disciplines
5 years recent practical experience implementing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric/PowerBI, Snowflake, MongoDB and data lake technology administration, ETL, high availability, deployments, and disaster recovery.
Extensive practical experience designing, developing and managing traditional and cloud databases, data lake, data warehouse and NoSQL solutions.
Demonstrated experience managing and participating in complex, cross-functional projects and driving technical innovation.
Ability to thrive as a member of a geographically distributed organization.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong ability to compile, research and analyze complex data.
Ability to convey complex topics to non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.
Experience working in Azure DevOps, supporting SDLC, CI/CD development and deployments.
