About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and manage a team of engineers.
Own the design and delivery of Sift's SMART on FHIR applications.
Champion AI-driven development across the team.
Partner with data engineering on the Python, dbt, and SQL pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and prioritize engineering initiatives.
Drive the implementation of best practices across the engineering team.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in a senior frontend or full-stack engineering role, with deep hands-on expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Hands-on experience building SMART on FHIR applications.
Hands-on fluency with AI coding agents and AI-powered product development.
Experience managing and leading a team of engineers.
Familiarity with HL7 v2 messaging and healthcare interoperability standards is preferred.
