About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems
- Perform equipment setup and maintenance activities
- Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures for use
- Apply precision cleaning, chemistry processes, and best shop practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 5+ years of related experience
- Familiarity with general best shop practices including PPE and shop safety requirements
- Ability to perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities and display general mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency
- Able to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry
- Ability to learn and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes
- Ability to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness
- Ability to demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware.
