About the role
- Responsible for working closely with suppliers to enhance their manufacturing processes, ensure quality standards, and optimize cost efficiency
- Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, and development projects
- Conduct detailed process and quality audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier-related issues and improvements
- Analyze data to identify trends in supplier performance and develop strategies for improvement
- Manage supplier development projects to enhance capabilities and performance
- Interact with and influence senior leadership decision-making on supplier matters.
Requirements
- Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6 yrs experience)
- Typically 8+ years of related experience
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required; Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) and Certified Supplier Development Professional (CSDP) are highly desirable
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality systems
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier management principles and best practices and maintaining supplier relationships
- Demonstrated expertise in Project Management principles and processes
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and reporting, and skilled in breaking down complex issues into clear and simple terms for company action
- Understanding of risk management, cost analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
