About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement SNC's enterprise-wide S&OP strategy for aerospace, defense, and security operations
- Facilitate cross-functional decision-making across Strategy, IR&D, Business Development, Programs, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Talent, Facilities, and Finance
- Drive scenario planning, trade-off discussions, and capacity/inventory strategies
- Monitor S&OP performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish a single source of truth integrating CRM, ERP, MRP, FP&A, and operations data
- Provide dashboards, analytics, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Champion digital tools and advanced planning capabilities
- Define enterprise planning standards, cadences, and decision rights
- Build and lead executive forums reconciling supply, demand, and financials
- Measure and communicate progress through scorecards and accountability mechanisms
- Lead organizational change, executive engagement, leader coaching, training, playbooks, and communities of practice
- Integrate IBP outputs with master schedules, materials planning, program execution, new program introductions, proposals, and long-lead investments
- Influence capital, capacity, and resource decisions to enable growth and mission success
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in business operations, program planning, or supply chain, including at least 8+ years in a leadership role
- Higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Thorough knowledge of financial planning and analysis, program/corporate finance, pricing, or another quantitative or analytical business or operations discipline
- Strong business analytical skills
- Proven leadership in change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, accountability, and performance reviews
- Ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire teams, drive innovation, foster collaboration, challenge the status quo, and adapt to dynamic situations
- Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, and program management disciplines
- Working knowledge and experience in budget preparation, cost control, and business resource planning and tracking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to tailor conversations to varying audiences
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across Business Areas and Corporate
- Understanding of governance frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards relevant to the industry
- Expertise with CRM, ERP, MRP, FP&A systems, and planning analytics
- Understanding of capacity, constraints, and inventory strategies
- Demonstrated leadership driving organizational change and adoption of new business processes
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance
- Background in aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense civilian work, NASA/civil or commercial space, and/or U.S. military
- Understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets
- Experience linking IBP with financial forecasting, EACs, and portfolio reviews
- Background in advanced planning tools and business intelligence platforms
