About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and security monitoring tools.
  • Manage and tune IT security systems and applications.
  • Audit and manage system and network access, maintaining an active directory of authorized users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security integration in all IT projects.

  • Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and uphold security standards across development efforts.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and solution architects, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study.
  • 7+ years of experience in a related area.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and network architectures.
  • Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics.
  • Knowledge of technical standards relating to systems security; experience administering UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization, and other related peripherals.
  • Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements as outlined in NISPOM, RMF for DOD, ICD 503, JSIG & NIST RMF.
  • Experience designing and securing cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD automation, and GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices and code quality standards.
