About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and control the configuration of complex engineering and manufacturing products through a PLM system
  • Ensure accurate and timely input and maintenance of Product Data, including Parts and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
  • Perform detailed audits and verification of product configurations to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and industry regulations
  • Coordinate the preparation and documentation required for product structure and configuration management
  • Support the configuration change management process, including evaluating, implementing, and tracking the life cycle of changes
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure effective configuration control and resolve complex configuration issues
  • Maintain and manage detailed records and documentation related to configuration management activities
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance configuration management practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration management or a related field within the aerospace and defense industry
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and configuration management principles
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Basic understanding of Documentation Control Database systems
