About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise a team of engineers and coordinate their activities to meet project goals and timelines
- Manage project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses
- Oversee the design, documentation, and approval processes for engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Participate in management meetings, representing the engineering department
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members
- Coordinate training programs to develop the technical skills of the engineering team
- Present project updates and technical data to senior management and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field)
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Requires a current active US Secret Security Clearance
