Systems Engineer I – Tools

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in basic requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE tasks.
- Support system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management under supervision.
- Contribute to project tasks with foundational knowledge in architecture/design development and technical monitoring.
- Participate in lifecycle management activities.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members.

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 0-2+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field
- Basic understanding of Systems modeling and simulation tools
- Basic Understanding of multiple Engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- Internship or cooperative education experience in systems engineering preferred
- Basic knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Understanding of requirements management and system modelling tools, such as Jama, Cameo, MATLAB
- Knowledge of industry-standard system engineering design principles, to include, classical and MBSE
- Experienced or certified in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)]
- Familiarity with baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternatives
- Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
