About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

support the legal team by providing advice and assistance on a wide range of legal matters
focus on the business operations of SNC
contract negotiation, compliance, and intellectual property law activities
generally provide legal support independently
serve as a subject matter expert in a particular area of law and/or oversee outside counsel on discrete matters
responsible for government affairs, international strategy, business, and trade and regulatory compliance
provide strategic guidance across the organization to align with national security priorities of the U.S. government

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
3+ years of relevant experience in a respected law firm or as in-house counsel
Admitted in good standing to practice law in at least one state
Substantial corporate, commercial, and technology transactional experience and superior contract drafting and negotiating skills
Experience supporting technology and software licensing, acquisition, protection, and counseling
Experience in government contracting including agreement drafting and negotiations
Experience and competence in corporate legal issues
Ability to identify and mitigate legal risk and develop workable business solutions
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others
Ability to organize projects/tasks and meet established deadlines
Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
