About the role

  • Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services
  • Conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Design, develop, test, and improve electrical components and systems for ground-based air defense systems and CUAS technologies
  • Design and implement electrical systems and subsystems, conduct detailed analyses and simulations, and perform rigorous testing to ensure performance and reliability
  • Work closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrate electrical components into broader system architectures
  • Work on fielded systems, new developmental contracts, and internal R&D initiatives
  • Contribute to immediate needs and future advancements of defense systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
  • typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment
  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis (preferred)
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry (preferred)
  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis (preferred)
  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes (preferred)
  • Understanding of Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) (preferred)
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture (preferred)
  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools (preferred)
