About the role
- Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services
- Conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle
- Design, develop, test, and improve electrical components and systems for ground-based air defense systems and CUAS technologies
- Design and implement electrical systems and subsystems, conduct detailed analyses and simulations, and perform rigorous testing to ensure performance and reliability
- Work closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrate electrical components into broader system architectures
- Work on fielded systems, new developmental contracts, and internal R&D initiatives
- Contribute to immediate needs and future advancements of defense systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
- typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment
- Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis (preferred)
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry (preferred)
- Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis (preferred)
- Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL) (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes (preferred)
- Understanding of Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) (preferred)
- Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture (preferred)
- Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools (preferred)
