About the role
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for product and system prototypes
- Assess customer needs and determine the most appropriate technical solution for concept and prototype products and systems
- Product installation, testing, error/defect detection and correction
- Coordinate appropriate corrective action with engineers and operators
- Use hands-on expertise to support platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains
- Work collaboratively with customers, engineers, and operators in defense and government contexts
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Typically 10 or more years of related experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Progressive hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers
- Communication and customer interface skills
- Comprehensive understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required (position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance)
- Experience with rotary wing avionics and aircraft maintenance preferred
- Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
- Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
- Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance procedures
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military preferred
- Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization preferred
