About the role

  • Align human resources strategy and service with business objectives in designated business areas and/or functional organizations
  • Serve as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues
  • Act as a strategic partner and operations consultant to the business while facilitating resolutions and responding to emergencies
  • Assess and anticipate HR-related requirements
  • Communicate proactively with internal HR partners (COEs, Shared Services, other HRBPs) and business leaders to develop integrated solutions
  • Develop partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees
  • Maintain literacy about organizational and business strategy, financial position, culture, and competition

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study and 10 or more years of work experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, leadership coaching, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
  • Experience conducting investigations and managing employee relations issues
  • Can operate in ambiguity with limited guidance and support
  • Experience developing and executing strategic people strategy
  • Workforce planning and strategic human capital planning experience
  • Background in HR, management consulting, communications, or other support function (preferred)
  • Masters of Business Administration, HR, or Organizational Leadership (preferred)
  • PHR/SPHR certification or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification (preferred)
  • Strong business analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (preferred)
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures (preferred)
  • Experience with Workday HR management systems (preferred)
  • Labor Union avoidance support to leaders and employees (preferred)
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense or Aviation industry (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
