About the role
- Review, monitor, and control project data in support of internal and external project reporting.
- Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with cost proposals.
- Conduct pricing documentation 'what-if' cost analysis, program cost forecasts, and cost variance analysis.
- Maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
- Provide pricing documentation to be utilized in proposal development.
- Assist in development of payment plans.
- Review Cobra budget data, ensuring budgets tie to program baseline.
- Work with PMs and APMs to complete program statusing and ETC forecasting.
- Develop management by exception reporting and analysis for senior management review.
- Generate contractually required cost performance reports.
- Provide notification to the Contracts department on limitation of cost or funds as required by the contract.
- Provide Earned Value Management guidance, support, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, project control, or a related field.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
- In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate program and financial related information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
- Ability to be resourceful and apply appropriate problem solving skills
