About the role
- Design, develop, and test complex RF products and technologies for ISR, aviation, and space systems
- Perform Electronic Warfare (EW) systems analysis and design, radar propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, ELINT/SIGINT/ESM, and signal processing
- Rapidly conceptualize solutions, assess trades, and develop conceptual designs on short timelines (days to weeks)
- Lead 1–2 year projects for detailed concept refinement and prototype building as principal investigator or small-team lead
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and communicate with customers and program management
- Articulate realistic technical paths to realize products and consider affordability and ROI in designs
- Provide technical writing and presentations for proposals and stakeholder communication
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience
- Self-starter able to operate independently
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Effective, concise, clear verbal communication with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Good business acumen to articulate ROI and construct business case analyses
- Minimum of 2 years design and development expertise with at least one of: Electronic Warfare (EW), ELINT/SIGINT/ESM, Radar, Signal Processing
- Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- U.S. Citizenship, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from U.S. Department of State or Commerce
- (Preferred) Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- (Preferred) Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military
- (Preferred) Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and project cost and schedule management
- (Preferred) Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team
- (Preferred) Familiarity with technical baseline definition, trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and make/buy evaluations
- (Preferred) Familiarity with tools and techniques for rapid RF system prototyping and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- (Preferred) Experience with Ansys STK or AFSIM
