About the role
- Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations
- Installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and provide them with onsite training
- Working overseas on a 90 day rotation basis
- Provide end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompassing design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
- Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques and repair radar and communication systems in various environments, including both fixed locations and deployed environments
- Background in networking, radar, communications
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, the ability to read complex drawings, and proficiency with precision tools
- Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts
- Provide technical support for computer systems and networks
- Install, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair various communication systems, including networks, cable distribution, COMSEC, and cryptographic devices
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
- An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
- Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to OCONUS operating location
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required 60 hour work week
