About the role
- Support the business objectives at SNC as a Program Manager II.
- Responsible for total Program Integration Management of multiple complex projects, major systems and subcontractors.
- Focused responsibility for customer relationship, cost, schedule and technical planning, tracking and reporting, technical execution, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved.
- Typically manage programs of $20M or greater with varying development scope.
- Supervise the work of program and project staff and be responsible for add-on work and proposal tasks from first customer interaction through contract award.
- Participate in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other corporate entities and formulate a team to fulfill program requirements.
- Ensure program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved; manage program risks and ensure risks are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed.
- Conduct routine meetings, interface on project/program status, develop proposals, research/fact-find, coordinate audits, and negotiate with project/program stakeholders.
- Support the Program Director and Business Operations in fulfilling their responsibilities for the Business Area.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
- Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management.
- Typically 3+ years leading medium scale project scope spanning 1-2 years, while leading teams made up of 5+ cross functional team members.
- Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes.
- Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
- Experience with managing a complex project or larger program.
- Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
- Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
- Ability to execute coordination of all elements of a program, i.e., Program integration management; task coordination, resource development, stakeholder identification, etc.
- Capability to manage program lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate available resources.
- Requires ability to identify, assess, and control financial, technical, and legal risks.
- Proficient leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
- Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
- (Preferred) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- (Preferred) Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field (may be considered in lieu of 1 year of required project/program management experience).
- (Preferred) Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
- (Preferred) Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- (Preferred) Experience managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile and or spiral development models.
- (Preferred) Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management.
- (Preferred) Understanding with application tools and data architectures.
- (Preferred) Experience ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes.
