About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service MR imaging equipment in the Detroit, MI area
  • Install, service, maintain, and modify Siemens imaging equipment at customer sites
  • Deliver timely and effective repairs
  • Train operators to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction
  • Manage territory financial performance, including revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management
  • Manage company assets including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with customers and peers
  • Perform necessary administrative duties accurately
  • Participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification
  • Travel and provide service throughout the assigned geography

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum high school diploma, technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5+ years of field service experience desired
  • Knowledge and experience servicing, performing preventative maintenance, and modifying medical imaging equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision
  • Experience testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency using tools and service test equipment
  • Ability to work independently and in an established team setting
  • Ability to travel and provide service in the assigned geography
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence
  • Ability to drive independently day and night
  • Good driving record
  • No prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations, unless prohibited by law
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, high-reach, and fine-grasping tasks
  • Good vision and ability to work alone
  • Must satisfy applicable vendor credentialing requirements, which may include identification verification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training
  • Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
