About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide in-person case coverage for assigned procedures
  • Ensure products and ancillary components are available for each case
  • Complete and process procedure-related paperwork
  • Track and report customer complaints
  • Ensure physicians and staff have current product information
  • Manage disposable inventory for the assigned case load
  • Bring products, including Microwave and Cryoablation generators, to cases as required
  • Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on assigned VIS products
  • Provide onsite clinical support during procedures while maintaining a hands-off posture regarding direct patient contact
  • Determine customer training needs and develop course content using engineering documentation, Operators Manuals, and DFUs
  • Coordinate or lead customer and employee training classes
  • Conduct large-group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows
  • Provide demonstration support at local, regional, and national customer trade events
  • Provide first-line product technical support
  • Support new installations to ensure products work as specified
  • Provide first-line technical service support through Engineering or Field Service Engineer oversight when necessary
  • Collaborate with the VIS Medical Affairs Team
  • Assist Medical Education, Medical Information, and Medical Science Liaisons when required
  • Document day-to-day interactions with physician customers
  • Provide competitive product performance information to headquarters marketing or engineering groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • Clinical background as an IR/CT Technician, Operating Room Nurse, or Surgical Technician preferred
  • Experience/knowledge of IR suite, Operating Room Protocol, and Sterile Technique
  • Experience supporting vascular procedures highly regarded
  • Experience supporting tissue ablation procedures highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Analytical problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Ability to lift approximately 150 pounds
  • Must live within close proximity to or be willing to relocate to Houston, TX
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state of residence
  • Must have no prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations, unless prohibited by applicable law
  • Must meet applicable client Vendor Credentialing requirements, which may include valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training
  • Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers client sites
  • Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
