Software Test Engineer – Molecular Imaging, PET/CT

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Executing system, software, and installation testing activities across multiple Molecular Imaging development projects.
- Reviewing product requirements and collaborating with Product Management and R&D teams to ensure requirements are testable, complete, and verifiable.
- Developing test cases, test plans, and validation strategies based on product requirements.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects while partnering with engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
- Validating service documentation, installation procedures, release notes, and software reinstallation instructions to ensure technical accuracy and usability.
- Reviewing technical documentation and collaborating with Component Engineering to improve documentation quality and consistency.
- Supporting software releases, tune-ups, configurations, and product updates for PET/CT imaging systems.
- Participating in design reviews to identify potential technical risks, usability concerns, and opportunities for quality improvements.
- Analyzing customer and field feedback to identify recurring issues and recommend product or documentation enhancements.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, development processes, and quality tools.
- Collaborating with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Technical Publications, Product Management, Service Engineering, and Quality teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Planning, coordinating, and tracking testing activities while meeting project milestones and quality objectives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software testing, systems testing, validation, quality engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience developing and executing test cases and documenting software defects.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional product development environments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
