About the role
- Field-based, customer-facing role installing, servicing, maintaining and modifying Siemens imaging equipment at customer sites
- Support CT/MI modalities with potential to cross-train into other modalities
- Perform technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment
- Conduct testing, repair, preventative maintenance and modifications on capital medical equipment
- Establish and maintain customer relationships and perform necessary administrative duties
- Use tools and service test equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Flexible shift work and willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation
- Report to the Regional Service Manager and support the Minneapolis, MN service area
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision
- Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers
- Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment
- Previous experience with CT imaging or Biomedical or other electronic/capital equipment based field service (desired)
- Minimum Technical Degree or equivalent (Military) experience
- Strong electronics and computer skills
- 5-10 years of field service experience desired
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Ability to work both individually and in a team setting
- Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography; willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification
- May be required to meet Vendor Credentialing requirements (proof of ID, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, healthcare training)
- Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
