About the role
- Gain deep understanding about users with explorative and generative user research, especially in new domains.
- Identify user needs, behaviors, and motivations to inform product strategy and innovation.
- Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional teammates - interaction and visual designers, product managers, and other stakeholders - to identify research needs, goals, and questions, and then plan and execute tactical and foundational research.
- Moderate inspiring ideation workshops with a global multi-disciplinary team.
- Define measurable goals for product user experience to align with the project team on the right thing to build combined with a set of testable metrics.
- Ensure that user insights are reflected in design concepts and solutions.
- Advocate for end users and promote a research- and data-driven culture across the organization.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in human-computer interaction, psychology or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience of industry experience in user research with deep knowledge and experience utilizing a variety of research methods, especially with a focus on explorative and generative methods.
- Proven ability to think conceptually and work in ambiguous, early-stages of product development and balancing constraints within a regulated industry.
- Extensive experience in collaborating with product management, designers and developers to impact strategic decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to tell compelling stories with data and insights to product teams and upper management roles.
- Medical knowledge or experience designing medical devices is a strong asset.
