About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Engineering Manager in organizing this competency horizontally, structuring strategies/drivers and driving them with the teams, together with the other Chapter Leads and Specialists of the horizontal;
- Lead attraction and development strategies for software development professionals (1:1, Individual Development Plans, hiring/termination);
- Within the vertical you belong to, act as a leader supporting product leadership in structuring teams and providing the technical foundation for the product to function effectively;
- Perform people management and development activities;
- Support the horizontal leadership to ensure processes, tools and capacity are appropriate so developers can perform their activities together with the verticals to deliver high-quality products;
- Drive software engineering topics with leaders of other technical horizontals, seeking to understand business strategy and product roadmap, ensuring progress of deliveries through established drivers;
- Pair with GPMs and PMs to understand the main business challenges;
- Foster adoption of new technologies aligned with the architectural model to solve business problems;
- Connect with other technology areas to enable business demands and needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- We expect you to have communication skills, empathy, an innovation mindset, curiosity, a passion for data, a user-centric perspective, and a focus on process improvement.
- Relevant experience is important in the following areas:
- Software development;
- Metrics-driven processes and management;
- Technology management;
- Ability and understanding of working within organizational structures (Horizontal and Vertical);
- Direct people leadership;
- Agile methodologies, Lean and Kanban;
- Technical knowledge in software architecture and engineering;
- Strategic vision and the ability to navigate between the technical and strategic levels of the company;
- Strong communication and storytelling skills;
- Basic knowledge of the financial market (Banking and Investments).
