About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, contribute to and empower the growth of your direct reports;
Drive software engineering to be an enabling and strategic function for the product;
Create a challenging and inspiring environment that helps retain, attract and hire top talent;
Promote a collaborative, close-knit culture that encourages feedback and continuous improvement;
Participate in building and guiding the cross-functional strategy so that technology, processes, tools and capacity are aligned;
Foster and evolve our engineering culture and strategy;
Lead initiatives aimed at improving the experience of our engineers (DevEx);
Build, promote and evolve software engineering standards and guidelines;
Guide and sponsor proofs of concept;
Foster and advance Research & Development (R&D);
Direct the technical evolution of our software;
Build strong working relationships with product leaders to jointly define strategies to achieve objectives;
Monitor, promote and evolve engineering metrics with the goal of continuous improvement and value delivery.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Modeling and development of critical, large-scale software systems;
Mastery of software development best practices (software design and architecture);
People leadership; familiarity with Management 3.0 principles;
Modern Agile, Business Agility and XP (Extreme Programming);
Facilitation skills;
Technical knowledge in software architecture and engineering;
Strategic vision and the ability to navigate between the technical and strategic levels of the company.
