About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Will be responsible for legal advisory and consultancy for the internal business areas of the Sicredi Administrative Center (CAS), located in Porto Alegre (POA), acting also with Centrals and Cooperatives.
- Draft and review contracts, partnerships, agreements and other administrative and business instruments of Sicredi, ensuring their compliance with current regulations and market best practices.
- Prepare legal opinions, studies and legal guidance on matters under their responsibility, especially those related to the creation of new products and existing products, including legal, regulatory and normative impacts.
- Provide legal support and advisory on matters related to business, products, services and financial and non-financial transactions.
- Assess and monitor legislative changes and regulatory impacts on Sicredi’s activities and provide the corresponding guidance.
- Collaborate and work together with other internal areas and colleagues from the Legal Superintendency and Sicredi to add value to the business and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft and review policies, rules, trainings and internal procedures related to financial and non-financial products and business operations.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary areas within Sicredi on projects, initiatives or any joint work streams.
- Prepare and deliver trainings within their areas of responsibility.
- Serve as a focal point for matters of moderate complexity.
- Assist management in the development, implementation and monitoring of work plans and in the review of managerial flows and processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree
- Active membership with the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association)
- Postgraduate/Specialization/MBA in Corporate Law, Business, Cooperative Law, Financial Markets or Banking, completed
- Experience in in-house legal departments
- Solid experience in legal consultancy and advisory applicable to financial institutions and cooperative societies (plus)
- Experience and knowledge in the use and application of agile methodologies, legal design and visual law, as well as technologies such as AI applicable to the legal environment (plus)
- Master’s degree in business, cooperative law, corporate law or financial markets (plus)
- Advanced or fluent English and training in Digital Law, Data Protection and Sustainability (plus)
