About the role

  • Identify and propose analytical solutions for business problems using statistical and machine learning techniques, with an emphasis on applicability and impact.
  • Develop predictive and propensity models, considering performance, interpretability and sustainability criteria.
  • Perform in-depth exploratory analyses to identify relevant variables, patterns and correlations that support the development of robust models.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to build and optimize pipelines, ensuring the availability, integrity and governance of the data used.
  • Validate the applicability of models with business areas, adjusting approaches according to strategic and operational objectives.
  • Document processes, decisions and results to promote reproducibility and transparency of developed solutions.
  • Actively contribute to the Data Science Chapter by sharing best practices, proposing improvements and disseminating knowledge.
  • Communicate insights and results clearly and confidently, adapting language for diverse audiences and influencing decisions based on evidence.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Python for developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Deep understanding of model deployment and monitoring techniques for machine learning.
  • Experience with Databricks for scalable data processing and model training.
  • Proficiency in data virtualization concepts and tools such as Denodo.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Teradata for data management and optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to optimize and automate machine learning workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with data scientists, engineers and business stakeholders.
