About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute the global energy procurement strategy
- Ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and risk-averse sourcing solutions
- Manage supplier relationships and drive market insights
- Lead hedging and green initiatives
- Support Sibelco’s sustainability goals
- Develop and implement energy category strategies in line with business goals
- Lead strategic sourcing projects and ensure measurable savings
- Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) and set preferred supplier frameworks globally
- Ensure the obtention of all eligible energy subsidies and other financial upsides
- Jointly drive energy consumption optimization projects with operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in engineering, Logistics, Procurement, or Business
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy/industry sector (international)
- English–proficient verbal & writing
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset with business acumen
- Deep knowledge of the European and UK commodity markets for sourcing power, gas, and fuel
- Understanding of the CO2 EUA ETS (1 & 2)
- Familiarity with the EPAD systems for sourcing power in Nordic countries is considered a bonus
- Experience with sustainability initiatives, including green strategy, CO₂ reduction, and PPA implementation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work cross-functionally and internationally
