About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and execute the global energy procurement strategy
Ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and risk-averse sourcing solutions
Manage supplier relationships and drive market insights
Lead hedging and green initiatives
Support Sibelco’s sustainability goals
Develop and implement energy category strategies in line with business goals
Lead strategic sourcing projects and ensure measurable savings
Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) and set preferred supplier frameworks globally
Ensure the obtention of all eligible energy subsidies and other financial upsides
Jointly drive energy consumption optimization projects with operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree in engineering, Logistics, Procurement, or Business
Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy/industry sector (international)
English–proficient verbal & writing
Strong analytical and strategic mindset with business acumen
Deep knowledge of the European and UK commodity markets for sourcing power, gas, and fuel
Understanding of the CO2 EUA ETS (1 & 2)
Familiarity with the EPAD systems for sourcing power in Nordic countries is considered a bonus
Experience with sustainability initiatives, including green strategy, CO₂ reduction, and PPA implementation
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work cross-functionally and internationally
