About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and execute the global energy procurement strategy
  • Ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and risk-averse sourcing solutions
  • Manage supplier relationships and drive market insights
  • Lead hedging and green initiatives
  • Support Sibelco’s sustainability goals
  • Develop and implement energy category strategies in line with business goals
  • Lead strategic sourcing projects and ensure measurable savings
  • Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) and set preferred supplier frameworks globally
  • Ensure the obtention of all eligible energy subsidies and other financial upsides
  • Jointly drive energy consumption optimization projects with operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in engineering, Logistics, Procurement, or Business
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy/industry sector (international)
  • English–proficient verbal & writing
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset with business acumen
  • Deep knowledge of the European and UK commodity markets for sourcing power, gas, and fuel
  • Understanding of the CO2 EUA ETS (1 & 2)
  • Familiarity with the EPAD systems for sourcing power in Nordic countries is considered a bonus
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives, including green strategy, CO₂ reduction, and PPA implementation
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work cross-functionally and internationally
