About the role
- Provide day-to-day break/fix and stabilization support for Epic Beacon following a recent go-live.
- Triage, analyze, and resolve incidents and service requests related to: Oncology treatment plans and protocols, Chemotherapy and infusion workflows, Orders, scheduling, and documentation within Beacon, Clinical decision support and safety checks.
- Investigate and resolve issues impacting patient care, clinician efficiency, or regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with oncology clinicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and operational leaders to understand issues and enhancement requests.
- Design, build, test, and deploy small enhancements and minor optimization projects within Epic Beacon.
- Support workflow refinement and system optimization based on post–go-live feedback.
- Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for enhancements and fixes.
- Maintain build documentation, change records, and workflow diagrams.
- Follow change management and governance processes for production support.
- Provide knowledge transfer and ongoing support to internal IT teams as needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Epic application analyst experience with a focus on Epic Beacon
- Experience supporting post–go-live Epic environments , including break/fix and stabilization efforts.
- Strong understanding of oncology workflows, including chemotherapy ordering, administration, and documentation.
- Experience working in a ticket-driven support environment (ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex workflow and build issues in a live production environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clinical and operational stakeholders.
- Epic Beacon certification or demonstrated proficiency (certification preferred).
