About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and test embedded software and associated components for audio product software and hardware systems
  • Develop Linux-platform software using the Yocto tool suite, hardware drivers, embedded software applications, audio and control networking, and related networking protocols
  • Work on product architecture and software design implementation for cutting-edge audio products and technologies
  • Estimate, organize, and document tasks
  • Practice software development methodologies and principles focused on software architecture and design
  • Model designs using UML or similar methodologies and develop real-time system use cases
  • Review peer engineers’ designs and code
  • Conduct unit, integration, and system testing of software components
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Electrical Engineering
  • 5 or more years of requisite experience
  • Experience with embedded Linux, HW/SW platforming, and Yocto
  • Demonstrated skills in C++ and/or C with object-oriented design, analysis, and programming
  • Experience using and designing software with Ethernet, IP, and TCP/UDP networking protocols
  • Understanding of operating system concepts, embedded software development environments, and real-time embedded operating systems
  • Experience with embedded system architectures, development environments, and debugging
  • Experience with software version control and release
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to analyze complex interdependent variables
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
