About the role

  • Manage and facilitate the development of comprehensive beta and field-testing plans for projects/products, incorporating timelines, checkpoints, and feedback loops in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of standard templates and processes for beta/field testing, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Oversee and be the platform administrator for the online beta forum platform, ensuring it serves as an effective tool for collecting and managing user feedback.
  • Manage the coordinated efforts of GPM, CMI, PDD, and other stakeholders to create research plans, timelines, document testing goals, and establish approval processes where needed.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation within the beta/field-testing process.
  • Serve as a central documentation holder and liaison among departments, maintaining an end-to-end view of all beta/field-testing activities.
  • Ensure alignment between hardware and software needs, addressing any potential bottlenecks.
  • Monitor and manage the product samples planning process, ensuring all aspects of testing are accounted for in samples planning.
  • Track against committed schedules and elevate/escalate schedule/prototype issues when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Technical fluency, including software, audio, and/or network configurations.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing testing plans, including field or beta testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities in a fast-paced in-person environment with hybrid flexibility.
  • Ability to collaborate assertively in a team environment to address project bottlenecks and drive deliverables forward.
  • Knowledge of product development timelines and ability to dynamically adjust plans.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills, and effective people skills.
  • Experience in managing online forums or similar platforms.
  • Passionate about process improvement and capable of leading change.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts effectively to various audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Ability to mediate compromises and maintain alignment across diverse groups.
