About the role

  • Develops and implements QA strategies, processes, standards, and metrics to ensure high-quality IT deliverables.
  • Works with IT Leaders to ensure comprehensive quality assurance processes are integrated into all stages of the software development lifecycle in alignment with global standards and practices.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of IT test engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Works closely with cross functional teams including development and operations to ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.
  • Stays current with the latest QA trends, tools, and best practices, and implements ongoing improvements to enhance the QA function.
  • Hybrid work arrangement: on-site 2-3 days per week in Niles, IL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing
  • Proven experience with test planning and execution in agile, hybrid, and waterfall environments
  • Experience with building reports and dashboards for test coverage, completion, and other key performance indicators for different levels of stakeholders
  • Experience defining and executing test strategies for SaaS applications hosted in Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Extensive experience testing enterprise solutions such as SAP S4, SAP Commerce, Salesforce
  • Strong proficiency with test management and automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Zephyr, Tricentis, Playwright, etc.)
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment
