About the role

  • Optimizing and maintaining automated test equipment to guarantee precise and dependable outcomes.
  • Leading a skilled technical team, driving initiatives to reduce rejections and boost product quality.
  • Supporting the production department strategically, enhancing both operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conducts validation studies of testing equipment (MSA).
  • Controls, maintains, repairs, verifies, and calibrates testing equipment as appropriate to ensure proper functioning, including screen rooms, and ensures correct identification.
  • Supervises Maintenance Technicians and is responsible for implementing and improving preventive maintenance to minimize downtime at the lowest cost.
  • Implements and maintains "golden samples" / "standards."
  • Maintains an optimal inventory of spare parts for maintenance and repair.
  • Works closely with other support departments (both at the plant and corporate level) to resolve issues caused by ATE, process, supplier, and design, and to improve yield.
  • Provides training to production associates and other departments as needed.
  • Acts as the main technical representative of the plant with Sustaining Engineering and corporate ATE regarding product testing and performance matters.
  • Performs other activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing plants.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) at an 90% level.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Experience with programming languages such as Visual Basic, C++ and Java.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and testing hardware, including GPIB and Ethernet.
  • Skills in troubleshooting test equipment and performing audio and RF failure analysis.
  • Practical knowledge of Visual Basic / C#.NET or Lab View is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge and programing of embebed systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), and 8D problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to analyze audio and RF circuits for failures.
  • Knowledge of surface mount and through-hole component soldering, as well as tools for repairing, manufacturing products, and testing equipment.
