About the role
- Support the Senior IS Manager, Cyber Security to ensure information systems and networks are secure
- Protect against hackers and cyber-attacks and monitor network traffic and logs for unusual activity
- Find vulnerabilities in computer networks and create recommendations to minimize vulnerabilities
- Investigate security incidents and develop strategies for resolution
- Utilize cybersecurity tools to maintain security
- Ensure security policies and procedures are followed and report information security violations
- Examine requests for security approval and assure regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
- Lead programs such as monitoring, audit, incident response, training/awareness, risk assessment, security consulting, and reporting
- Lead small to major incident investigations and review/draft security policies and procedures
- Lead 2-3 simultaneous projects, deliver projects on time and under budget, and communicate with stakeholders
- Identify and attend training to maintain and advance knowledge and develop relationships with internal customers and partners
Requirements
- 5 years of cyber security experience including managing cybersecurity controls
- CISSP certification
- At least 4 total additional current professional cybersecurity certifications with 3 being directly related to the assigned role
- Acceptable certifying authorities include SANS/GIAC, ISC2, Cloud Security Alliance, ISACA, Project Management Institute, Payment Card Industry, EC Council, Offensive Security, HITRUST, or relevant vendor-specific certifications
- Associate's Degree with proof of writing proficiency
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree with proof of writing proficiency
- Proof of writing proficiency
- Experience with regulatory compliance related to electronic information such as HIPAA
- Experience leading incident investigations and incident response
- Experience with monitoring, audit, training/awareness, risk assessment, security consulting, and reporting
- Project management experience leading multiple simultaneous projects
