Occupational Therapist
Shriners Children'sOccupational Therapist providing evaluation and therapy services to pediatric patients in Shreveport. Working within a multidisciplinary team to design and implement individual care plans.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.
- Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care.
- Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through mentoring and education to students and other professionals.
- Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice and compliant documentation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- OT licensed in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1 year occupational therapy experience preferred; new graduates considered.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
