About the role
- Provide family-centered, age appropriate clinical cardio pulmonary care
- Utilize assessment findings in a timely manner to establish patient and family needs in collaboration with the health care team
- Communicate findings in both verbal and written format
- Seek personal/ professional development
- Assure safe operation of life support equipment
- Perform other duties as required
- Take a leadership role as assigned
- Act as a clinical resource to other departments
- May precept staff after displaying proficiency
- Participate in hospital / departmental committees, special projects and research
Requirements
- Associate Respiratory Therapy RT License in state of practice
- National Registration by National Board for Respiratory Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Preferred: 2 Years in ICU setting, Pediatric/Adult RT intensive care
