About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design highly available Azure networking solutions across Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments
Design monitoring with KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor
Modernize network security using Azure Firewall Premium, Network Security Groups, micro-segmentation, and enterprise standards
Establish Infrastructure as Prompt alongside Infrastructure as Code
Design governance guardrails using Azure Policies, Blueprints, and enterprise governance standards
Develop decentralized network management concepts while maintaining security
Develop disaster recovery strategies, automated failover testing, and recovery simulations
Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry to detect and respond to cyber threats
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on troubleshooting, connectivity, and routing
Prepare architectural recommendations and decision papers
Explore Zero Trust Network Access technologies including Microsoft Entra Private Access and Global Secure Access

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep expertise in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures
Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability
Ability to build intelligent monitoring, automate threat detection, and proactively respond to security incidents
Interest in Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation
Experience with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking desired
Passion for learning technologies, sharing knowledge, simplifying complex networking topics, and helping engineering teams build secure, scalable solutions
