About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure that as we grow, every customer, shopper, and retailer interaction is seamless and safe.
Architect the technical health of our anti-fraud product.
Lead engineering efforts to design and implement complex, scalable risk assessment systems.
Act as a strategic lead with cross-functional teams to ensure systematic prevention of fraud and abuse.
Directly contribute to protecting customer, shopper, and business data from exfiltration.
Architect, build, and deploy mission critical APIs and services while ensuring high code quality, security, and scalability.
Create low latency integrations that detect and address realtime fraud and abuse.
Collaborate with cross functional teams and lead architectural design reviews.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in backend engineering
Expert in backend languages such as Golang, Javascript, or Python
Proven expertise in API development and integrations
Extensive experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub
Strong skills in data storage, retrieval, and analysis using PostgreSQL and Snowflake
Proven experience in working with 3rd party vendor integrations
Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka or AWS SNS/SQS
Experience with observability tools such as DataDog, Grafana, and Prometheus
Expert at identifying and optimizing inefficient code, database queries, and network requests.
