About the role

  • Join ShipBob’s Revenue team to understand mid-market clients' strategic needs and deliver value
  • Partner with Sales, Implementation and Success teams to align merchants' business objectives and technical requirements with technical solutions
  • Act as a trusted advisor demonstrating the platform’s full potential tailored to merchant needs and industry segment
  • Support sales stages including demos, warehouse tours, RFPs, vendor assessments, and technical evaluations
  • Own technical discovery by immersing in merchants’ technical environments to uncover opportunities and guide scalable solution design
  • Develop and communicate technical vision and implementation roadmaps to ensure timely, on-budget product launches
  • Lead cross-functional execution partnering with Implementation Specialists to ensure flawless delivery and accountability
  • Maintain deep expertise in industry trends, ShipBob service offerings, and competitive differentiators
  • Evangelize new product features with customers and provide feedback to inform product strategy
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary
  • Reports to the Manager, Solutions Engineering

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience supporting merchants in SaaS and e-commerce environments
  • Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable, technical solutions
  • Comfortable navigating APIs, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby)
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation
  • Exceptional interpersonal and storytelling skills to build trust with merchants and simplify technical concepts
  • Experience building repeatable frameworks, documentation, and best practices that scale Sales Engineering operations
