About the role

  • Serve as Account Executive for Mid-Market merchants to match ShipBob’s global capabilities to merchant growth goals.
  • Creatively connect with potential customers (self-sourced and pre-vetted) to assess fit.
  • Work with Sales Engineer to construct full-stack solutions.
  • Collaborate with pricing and analytics to ensure competitive pricing and maintain margins.
  • Identify customer business nuances and consult on partners and integrations.
  • Follow Mid-Market Sales Process and move customers through a 6–12-month sales cycle efficiently.
  • Negotiate contract terms and partnership agreements.
  • Maintain an updated, clean pipeline and CRM notes for accurate forecasting.
  • Provide feedback to management and facilitate handoff to post-sales team.
  • Report to the Manager, Client Acquisition and perform additional duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of Account Executive sales experience closing complex deals with an average deal size >$1M.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and clients through a 6–12-month sales cycle.
  • A network of contacts and relationships in the Mid-Market e-commerce space built on your trusted reputation.
  • Track record of helping e-commerce merchants expand into international markets is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, both for yourself and others involved in bringing in new business.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and confidence to understand client needs and successfully navigate the negotiation process.
  • Ability to report, and utilize, insights using a CRM and other tools to ensure efficient Sales Operations.
